Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program. Today, alcohol and drug dependencies are recognized as life-threatening diseases. The Psychiatric Services staff at Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County regard them as treatable medical illnesses. The Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program at Memorial Hospital, sometimes referred to as CDIOP, is designed for adults having problems with alcohol and/or substance abuse or dependencies. Our treatment program is convenient, individualized, and is based on the 12-step model- one of the most proven successful treatment models for recovery. The program allows participants to continue working and to return home daily to practice new skills and establish a pattern for living a sobriety-based and productive life. Cost-Effective Treatment. The Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program at Memorial Hospital can reduce the cost of behavioral health care for employers, insurance companies, managed care providers and individual patients, by ensuring that the appropriate level of care is provided to enhance recovery. Convenient Schedule. The Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Program is held three to five evenings per week beginning at 5:00 p.m. Arranging Admission To The Program. Patients admitted to the program must be medically stable and must not be at risk for severe withdrawal syndrome. Admission to the inpatient unit will be arranged if indicated. Individuals may be referred by healthcare professionals, mental health professionals, employers, family members or individuals themselves. An intake assessment will be done to determine if admission to the program is appropriate. Admission is made by a psychiatrist and arranged by our staff. Our Professional Staff Includes:
